Things I want to do when I'm done with the bar

Taking a study break to talk about everything I want to do when I'm done with the bar exam, which is next Wednesday!  I have kept a running list next to me as I study because whenever my mind wanders and dreams about free time, I have to remind myself that SOON I can do these things!  Here's what I'm looking forward to doing:

- Start more seriously looking for houses
- Deep clean the apartment
- Blog about our wedding and honeymoon
- Blog more generally - I have a lot of post ideas that I can't wait to write!
- Taxes - we are filing jointly for the first time -- any tips?
- Finish planning my sister and I's trip to FL (and her days in DC!)
- Buy some fun clothes for FL
- Start healthy eating and working out more! (Signed up for Classpass again and thinking about trying another Whole30)
- Sit down with Bill to come up with a plan for our money now that we are married.  Figure out how we want to do joint saving, bill paying, etc.
- Tie up loose ends with things -mail returns to Amazon, gifts to friends/family, return things to Wayfair (remind me to tell you about our Wayfair saga)
- Brainstorm and delve into some ideas I've been having for some side ways to make money
- Change my Instagram and Twitter handles to my married name - been having trouble coming up with this because I love that mine right now are my actual name, but my new actual name is already taken.  Grrr.
- Figure out how to really switch to my new Gmail address
- Plan future weekend trips (NYC to see my brother-in-law, trip with Tara, special fun weekend getaways with Bill)
- Plan our first anniversary trip (!)
- Start swimming regularly with my coworker
- Finally unpack everything from our (second) move
- I had to get a new debit card because of my name change, so I want to update my card number everywhere
- Call Verizon to figure out why our bill is $150 higher than normal
- Organize my backpack and purse
- Read more books! (Including Harry Potter series again)
- Make time to meet up with old friends and make plans with new ones
- Catch up on my tv shows! I am very behind.  I need to catch up on This is Us, Scandal, Quantico, Walking Dead, UnReal, Designated Survivor, Dance Moms, Ladies of London, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Nashville (I have thoughts on the "new" Nashville), and even though it's a movie, not a show, I can't wait to watch Britney on Lifetime.

As you can see, some of the things I'm "dreaming" of doing are fun and some are just to-dos that I need to get crossed off of the list, but one thing I know for sure is that I can't wait until I can do whatever I want when I get home from work and on the weekends!

Well, back to Torts! I most likely won't be back until after Wednesday.  See you then! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend, especially if you get Monday off!

February Goals

First off, I'm watching the end of the Superbowl as I watch this and can I just say two things - this is tight right now!! 28-28 and apparently this is historical! The first time a Superbowl has gone into overtime!  Also, I'm loving some of these commercials.  Nothing has been particularly hilarious, which I normally love, but some of these are really powerful and I am impressed that companies were willing to take the risk to make some of these points (Budweiser, Audi, Airbnb to name a few).  Ok, well now the Patriots have won. I did not have a dog in this race, but that was so nerve-wracking!! Also: Gisele is so perfect - so classy, so elegant, great hair, perfect body! #goal

That's not the reason for this post, however.  I want to lay out my February goals to help me stay on track and then assess my success once the month is up.

February Goals:

1) Do my best to prepare for the bar exam in the last few weeks.  It's on the 22nd. This will be my third time taking it and I'm not ready yet.  I want to continue to study at least 3-4 hours a day, taking 50 MBE (multiple choice) practice questions each day. I have taken a few days off between now and then and on those days, I want to put in a good 8-10 hours

2) Walk 10,000 steps each day.  I finally have a Fitbit again, so I want to put it to good use.  I got it for Christmas from my Mom. If you're interested, I got this one, the One (in burgundy) so that I don't have to wear it visibly on my wrist all of the time, but it has more features than the Zip, which is what I used to have before I lost it)

3) Finish planning the trip to Harry Potter World. My sister and I are finally going to celebrate her college graduation, a year later

4) Get our apartment finally put-together and organized

5) Go to class at my yoga studio at least 5 times.  I don't go there enough and 5 classes makes my monthly payment worth it, so if I don't go at least 5 times, I'm going to cancel my membership at the end of Feb

6) Celebrate our first married Valentine's Day! Many years, we don't take this holiday very seriously, but I want to do something special this year

7) After the bar, finally start getting our wedding posts up!

8) Post wedding and honeymoon pics to Facebook (finally!)

9) Start writing in my journal again

10) Spend as little money as possible

Let's see how I do! I'll review at the beginning of March and post my next month's goals then.

Do you like reading about bloggers' monthly goals?  Are there any major goals you want to achieve this month?
