Our town photos with the Easter Bunny were obviously canceled, so he took a drive through town instead and honestly this was so much better! We stood in our yard at the expected time and he (along with the mayor) drove right by and waved at Haddie! We got to see him twice, on the return trip too, and she loved it! I felt really lucky to live in such a fun little town.
The night before, we dyed eggs and my parents and siblings joined over Facetime. Haddie dyed eggs last year, but this year she was really into it!
We hid eggs and she hunted them in the yard. She kept shouting "Eggs... [where] ARE you eggs? Eggs... come out!!" She got SO excited every time that she found one. She would gasp and grab it and toss it into her basket. We ended up hiding them a few more times before we eventually went inside. SO fun!
I wasn't able to snag any ham, so I made an Easter dinner of steak, dairy-free green bean casserole, chick deviled eggs, baked potatoes, and carrot cake (from scratch!).
It was a really nice day with our little family. <3
